TBT (3): Some say they come looking for drugs, dirty dancing and pounding techno music

In 2001, Dave and Steph released the track ‘Theme From Discotheque‘ as ‘Samantha Fu’. The track was made for a play called ‘Discotheque’ by Ghent based theatre group Kung-Fu.

More than twenty years later ‘Theme From Discotheque’ has stood the test of time. Not only because it’s an amazing tune, but also due to the use of the samples:

It was used on this 2001 white label 12″track called ‘Where Are Your Children’ by a certain D.J. ELITE, which somehow must have ended up in DJ bag of ‘the Flying Dewaele Brothers’.
