Every Thursday I look back to the past.
“The biggest rave-up of 2008”, Soulwax compiled and mixed this CD that you could get for free with MixMag magazine in December 2008.
Looking back on it now, 2008 was probably one of the most successful years in their career.
Just look at what they released in twelve months time: Part Of The Weekend Never Dies (including Nite Versions Live At Fabric And 120 Other Places), ‘Kids (Soulwax remix)‘ by MGMT, ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl (Soulwax Remix)‘ by The Chemical Brothers, ‘Ready For The Floor (Soulwax Dub)‘ by Hot Chip, ‘Get Innocuous! (Soulwax Remix)’ by LCD Soundsystem and ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want (Remixed and re edited by Soulwax)’ by The Rolling Stones.
And they were playing ‘Most Of The Remixes..’ live, since that remix compilation was released in late 2007 on Capitol Records.

It’s fitting they end the year with this remixed album for MixMag. It includes their remixes for MGMT and The Chemical Brothers, but also ‘Fool For Love’ which they produced that year for Belgian band Das Pop.
