The singer has become a deejay

News update: Marie Davidson, Pinkpop

Marie Davidson annouced she’s publishing a book soon. It’s called ‘Traveller’s Faith’.

In her own words:

City Of Clowns turns 1 year old today! To celebrate this, I’m beyond excited to announce that my first book of poetry is coming soon. This one has been a long time coming, I’ve been writing just as long as I’ve been working with sounds, and it feels right to finally give a physical form to this part of my practice.

For those who wonder what this next step means, my poems are similar to my songs; I try to keep it catchy and straight to the point. Clown mode is still the spirit. I write to process what’s around me, to make something out of nothingness. Some of the lines are inspired by people I’ve met in my travels and in my journeys into the night, other lines are personal reflections about the current times.

Here, I share with you fragments of my life, without missing the opportunity to tell a few jokes along the way. I really hope you’ll give it a try, meet me on the other side.

It’s not known at this time if the book will have it’s own DEEWEE catalogue number and when it will be available to order.

A couple of new dates have been announced: 2manydjs will dj at Electric Koko in Camden, London on April 4th and at The Roxy in Prague on March 27.

Soulwax have been added to the line up of the Pinkpop festival in Landgraaf, The Netherlands. Twenty-seven years after their last show at the festival, on the day that David turned twenty-four years old, the band will return to the stage there on Saturday, June 2O.
