Soulwax have added a third concert date at Halles De Schaerbeek in Brussels on December 19. The show on the 18th of December has sold out and there are a few tickets left for the show on the 17th. You can buy tickets here.
It’s going to be a spooky Halloween in Belgium this year, DEEWEE is hosting two nights in Gent on October 31 and November 1. A dress code is mandatory and you can only buy tickets if you are subscribed to the DEEWEE mailing list here.
Dave and Steph’s dad Jacky Dewaele, also known as Zaki, has released his first work of fiction, a novel titled ‘Forget It’.
The book, which will be released on September 4, is based on his five years of research into dementia. At 80, Zaki, a former radio and TV maker, DJ, and journalist, delved into the topic by visiting care centers and speaking with both caregivers and people with dementia. He observes that the “new great fear” for humanity is not dying, but losing one’s mind and memory. Despite the serious subject, he found that many people with dementia are quite content living in their own world. His novel explores the theme of dementia through a fictional character, Bob, who cares for his mother with dementia. Zaki hopes readers will draw their own conclusions about memory and how society treats those with dementia.
