From the archive (1): The Daft Punk figurines

Soulwax remixed ‘Robot Rock’ by Daft Punk back in 2005. It was the first single from their third album ‘Human After All’, and the Soulwax remix was included on the 12” and CD singles. One year later, a compilation of all the ‘Human After All’ remixes was released in Japan. The most special version included two Daft Punk figurines, designed and made by Medicom Toy Co., these figurines were part of the so called ‘Kubrick Collection’, and the release was limited to 3000 copies.

It took me a while to get a hold of a copy including the figurines, because at that time it was not easy to get Japanese releases. Eventually I found a nice and affordable copy on eBay.At the moment, these go for about 150 – 200 Euros on Discogs
